Acoustic Jam Night (every Monday) Monday night is The Acoustic Jam Night, hosted by local singer / songwriter Paul Harrison, and is a chance for budding musicians and singers to show off their talent in front of an audience. Anyone is welcome to get up and play, and there is always an instrument that can be borrowed. The night is an eclectic mix of Paul's unique style of guitarmanship, solo guitarists, reggae beats, and electro-acoustic melodies. With a very relaxed atmosphere, the Acoustic Jam Night is a perfect way to get over that Monday feeling!
Electric Jam Night (every Tuesday)Anyone who ever fancied themselves to be a rock star, this is the night for you! With a full band set up running through our in-house PA, your band can blast out a few tunes. Not got a band together yet? Don't worry, with our tame band, led by Baz, you can show off your drum, guitar, bass, or singing skills, and the boys will fill the other positions. It's also a good opportunity to meet other potential band members, and other like-minded individuals.
Also, up until 10:30pm, we allow anyone under the age of 18 in to show off their talents, as long as they are accompanied by a responsible adult (aged 25+, max 4 kids each) and signed in.
Folk + Acoustic Session Night (every Wednesday)Wednesday night is for joining in. Anything goes, from traditional Folk to Oasis and Bob Dylan. With Banjos, Accordians, Fiddles, Guitars, and not a PA in sight, we take music making back to its roots, and all have a good old sing along. With local legends like Banjo Bill Lloyd, and the story-telling Steve Grundy, anyone who enjoys hearing old Cumbrian dialect, sea shantys, and folk music, will love Wednesdays. |
